I received a liberal arts education from Milligan College in Tennessee, graduating in 2006 with a dual Bachelor of Science in biology and chemistry; in 2009 I received a Master of Science in marine science from the University of Texas at Austin. I joined the Moran lab in 2009 where I have had the opportunity to participate in numerous research projects including both bench and field work. As a generalist, I like learning new methods and enjoy organizing, developing and troubleshooting as well as dabbling with computer technology. In my capacity as a research professional I perform individual research, support the research of each of our students and postdocs, and in general keep the lab running smoothly, including maintaining supplies and ensuring training and lab safety are up to date.
